Yes.

But I'm not recommend the X299/socket 2066 platform. You're obviously limited to CPU's that fit in the socket and within the 2066 socket, there are not many CPU that make a ton of sense.

But keep in mind with a motherboard, you're limited to a certain series of CPU's and with the X299 platform the only CPU's that make sense nowadays are the i9 chips, the i7 chips have been surpassed by 8th and 9th Intel chips.

It's probably a way better idea to get a , z390-Aorus Ultra + 9900K/9700K (or even 8700K), than getting an X299 Aorus Gaming 3 + i5/i7 chip.

Also, those chips can get hot. Get a good cooler to go with them.

I have i9 7900x chip in Aorus gaming 3 ???

Which one? :)

EDIT: from the ones shown here, only the X299 board has SLI support, they all could likely run them separately; but not having them work together.

It's on the support list of the motherboard.

It's not really one of the higher tier motherboards, especially for i9 (overclocking):

The X299 Gaming 7 might be a better option for this CPU.
