Help needed for sega mega drive!

Mitico

I was wondering what ac/power cable i need for the sega mega drive (the first one) since the one which came with the console died,it was not original one and it was 9V 1A but looking on internet ifound different information. On the console sticker it says 10V and 1.2A but as i said the old was 9v and 1a..so i dont know which one i should get..Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Usually it doesn't matter that much if the power-supply's voltage is a wee bit less than on the sticker on the device. If you can find a 10V PSU, go for it, but a 9V PSU should do just fine as well. As for amperage: as long as it's 1A or more, it should do fine.

The important thing to keep in mind is that the voltage should NOT be more than 10V, but amperage could be 25,000 -- the console will only draw as much current as it needs and no more.

Thanks for the fast reply.. i knew about amperage,it was more worried about the volts..So ill try to get one with max 10V,thanks again!
