All i need is a GPU that can run fortnite at 60fps. I would like the GPU to be cheap and have HDMI.  thanks.

My question exactly,  the RX 580 is the best bang for your buck.  You would have a killer video card.  But give us more info as Slottr said.  We cant help you fully if we have no clue what hardware you have what OS ,, what motherboard what CPU.

 

Anyhow as a quick note ,,,, Grab the RX580 and don't look back.  It will give you way more then 60fps ,, You will really enjoy the fluid game play.

can a 550-560 not run fortnite at 1080 60 FPS? or like r9 290 or similar 4gb cards

I have an i5-8400. Also I don't have enough money for an RX 580 atm. I don't care playing fortnite at 60fps 1920x1080 all low settings. Don't have much money right now. I have a good $70-$80 to spend though. The GPU doesn't have to run fortnite over 100fps just 60fps.

look for anything with 4Gb of gddr5 Vram and it will be all good

What do you have in there currently? Or are you just running off integrated graphics?

do not use a game (especially non demanding games) as reference.  you will see its limit very soon

my 980 4gb is all epic settings and 90-120 FPS with a garbage FX 8150 overclocked behind it in fortnight

Find Used gtx970 /rx570, dont go any weaker

im getting a xfx 580 8gb used for the same $120 and thats a price you look for always look at the used market that is the old top tier or over saturated stuff

GTX970 with FX8 at 3.7Ghz does 60Mins with 90Avgs.

 

Your i5 is ample,.. And even a 260x (2gb 7790) can play fortnite at 60fps at Competitive settings.

Medium/Low mixes with Epic Distances.

You're gonna have much better luck getting to 60fps with high view distances on a 750 Ti or an HD 7850.

750ti is as weak as 1030 (ddr5) also as weak as ryzen 2200g on board graphics... and its 5 yrs old.
