so i ahve never used prime96 so i did today, i have used my OC for about 3 weeks now without a hiccup. i had 17 programs open, cpu was at 56* and i was using 5.2 gbs of ram once. my average is about 5 programs, 3.1 gbs ram and about 29-34* on the cpu. So i thought my overclock was stable, i ran prime95, for about 4 mins, no problems the cpu was at about 54* i left and came back about 1.5 mins later and my system was on the log-in screen, so i assume it crashed windows. Am i doing anything wrong? Thanks for the help :)

I would close other programs.

Try using the latest Prime95.

If it still crashes immediately then you need to increase CPU Vcore or decrease clock speed.

If you are using the FSB to OC then I would check Ram speed, voltage, and CPU NB voltage.

prob should turn down your overclock a little.

i normally would, but like a said, i actually have a yt channel called "aidenscraft" and i did a ram test on there and like i said, i had 17 programs open and my pc dident crash so im fine with the OC, i just shouldent have over 20 cpu intensive programs open at once with rendering at the same time xD

I would close other programs.

i did the first two things.

Did it fail on a blend test or small FFT?
