CPU for 4 way RTX 2080

Hey..

Looking for the right CPU for a computer (meant for machine learning) that will use x4 RTX 2080.

Something with lots of PCIe lanes?

Yup. You could split the 16x slots (16 lanes) to 2 16x slots (8 lanes) with not issue. 

 

Meaning you could do 8 GPUs.

 

Not that you would be able to find a case for it

What Case would do the trick (so it won't bw too hot in there) if I use only 4 RTX 2080s?

Any full ATX case should do. And say the Designarare board with good spacing. I dont have a full overview over how the lanes are layed out on that board, but you should be good
