So im pretty sure this is where it belongs.

as a first time builder I want to know if its recommended to go with a 3rd party thermal paste( and which to go for)

or if i should stick to the pre applied thermal paste no a h100i platinum rgb SE AIO cooler.

motherboard is a z390 auros master and cpu is a i5 9600k. if those stuff are needed

Im probably not gonna do a big overclock if im even gonna do it in the first place

If the 3 degrees difference matters, getting something like IC diamond or something expensive from Thermal Grizzly is what you want, but the pre applied stuff and a backup store of something basic like MX-4 would do.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

H100i and I5 9600k... i think you should revise your build unless you have those parts already bought.

anyway just go with what comes with the cooler, some have preapplied and some dont. There are a few degrees to be gained from going with something like NT-H2 or Kryonaut but the stuff that comes with it is decent usiually

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
