4 stick or 2 ?

Just wondering should I get 2x8 or 4x4 is there any reason to have 4 sticks? Also do i need more than 16GB?

The benefit of 4x4 is for quad channel on higher end (usually workstation grade) chipsets. While many motherboards have 4 WAM slots, they still run in dual channel mode. 2x8 also has expandability. You probably won't need more than 16GB, but it doesn't hurt to have the ability to add more in the future.

2x8GB. It is also easier on the IMC if you want to run those 2 sticks at higher speeds.

Get a 2x8 kit of 1600mhz ram because it leaves room for more expansion. You don't need to get 16gb if your just gaming, but if your doing video editing, go for it.
