Are physical video games safe or should i buy digital? I am not sure if the codes from physical ones are original or not. And also i am concerned about the fact that the sellers can open the case. Once i know that i didn't get the CD from the game...

Depending on where you're buying from you of course have the option to replace damaged and/or missing wares. Don't buy from shady second hand shops and you should be fine with physical copies (plus you can always activate the keys in steam and have the digital version as well).

Other than that: Just buy from steam and you're 100% on the safe side

75% of what I say is sarcastic

So is the rest probably

I buy physical games for consoles. I just think they’re far more convenient and actually safer to use. If you ever lose access to the server, corrupt your memory, etc. then you still have your games. Granted, you can scratch them.

For PC I might buy a physical game to have the shelf copy but usually just buy on steam.
