So after resolving my "Pro PC Clear" issue using malwarebytes i was just curious and was wondering whether i should switch to Malwarebytes after my Trend Micro subscription is finished or stay with Trend Micro.

Which one is a better antivirus?

MBAM is not an anti-virus - it works alongside your existing security suite to compliment the definition based scanning with its' heuristic based scanning, allowing it to catch many things that slip through a regular security suite. While I am a biased MBAM Premium user, I cannot recommend it enough because of its' lightweight footprint and unintrusive interface. I run MBAM Premium alongside Windows Defender and CommonSense™, all 3 of which do a great job keeping my system protected.

If you enjoy using the added features of a suite from Trend Micro (or my favorite security suites, Kaspersky or ESET NOD32) such as parental controls, advanced firewall routing, online banking protection (which is really just a fancy "secured" incognito mode), or just have become accustomed to the interface, there's nothing wrong with running a security suite alongside MBAM Premium, since it's designed to do this no problem.

Just remember that no matter what you run, nothing is 100% secure, and NOTHING works better than CommonSense™, so keep your system updated and don't open anything you're uncertain of.

My current setup is Malwarebytes Premium (lifetime license) and Kaspersky free antivirus.

Works like a charm so far.

Like said, Malwarebytes is not AV. Its up to you really, free MBAM and paid AV or other way a round. Or even paying for both (I don't think it would be that beneficial). There are other security software like Hitman Pro (which free version is stupidly locked, sadly).

My setup for security atm is paid BitDefender, free MBAM and CCleaner.
