Hey guys. I got a Intel 3.20GHz i5 quad core CPU its a 3470 and I got a Gigabyte Z77-D3H motherboard. So I used this overclocking thing called EasyTune 6 and it gave me 3 QuickBoost Options. Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. 1 was 3.5 GHz, 2 was 3.6 GHz and 3 was 3.90GHz. I chose level 1. It says its enabled and I restarted but its not a K CPU but said it had boost clock to 3.60. and obviously I did it with software not in the BIOS. Did it overclock?

Download prime95, OCCT, Intel Burn In, CoreTemp, HWMonitor and you need to stress test your cpu while watching temps to make sure you can retain the overclock. Further, to make sure it's taken, also download CPU Z and look in your resource monitor ( through windows task manager ) to double check it's taken.

TBH, you're much better off just doing this through the BIOS
