Swapping graphics cards

Hey guys, I know this question has probably been asked a bunch. I have also searched myself and see a bunch of different answers or posts from years ago. I am swapping my 1070 to a 1080ti. Should i use DDU to uninstall everything, or am i able to just download the newest drivers and swap the cards out.

I wouldn't use DDU unless you're having driver problems after you've installed 1080TI drivers and tried the new card.

They use the same driver pack so u should be fine.

I just open experience and perform a reinstall. 

Main RIg Corsair Air 540, I7 9900k, ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero, G.Skill Ripjaws 3600 32GB, 3090FE, EVGA 1000G5, Acer Nitro XZ3 2560 x 1440@240hz

While it should not be an issue to change one nvidia GPU for another it still possibly a good idea to reinstall drivers.

But more important if you change brands like remove a Asus card and replace it with a EVGA card remove the Asus software.

 

I personally like the clean slate approach as its a good idea.
