Computer not starting

My computer (desktop, 1500x & 1070) was working about 10 minutes ago and then I turned it off and when I attempted to turn it back on there are no signs of life. No fans, lights whine, nothing. I've had some issues with it before, but those were always with posting, not just doing nothing.

check to make sure none of the power cables have come loose, and makesure the PSU input is firmly plugged in

have you tried reseating the cables, checked for any damage to cables?

Also makesure there is no shorting happening. 

Is there nothing happening when you press the power button on the case, if not try using the button on the motherboard or if there isn't one try shorting the power pins.

its one of those weird ones that doesnt have a switch
turns on with the power button

after reinserting all the important cables it appears to work

I've had a similar thing happen, sometimes the cables look to be in properly but aren't quite making contact. can be quite scary tbh
