Hey guys and gals.

So I wanted to share this experience and ask for feedback as it's quite bizarre.

So I have my own little channel - which I will not name or give any links to as I don't want to break any forum rules and I am not promoting it in any way shape or form, I love the LTT community which is why I am posting this here and on reddit.

Recently I got a copyright ID claim on a video I made a little ways back. Now the video in question only made something like $.08 cents so its not a big deal financially. But the reason and the perpetrator of the copyright ID claim is whats so damn perplexing.

The video is about the supposed advantage that the Vega 7 may have in Resident Evil 2 due to it's larger size of memory in super high settings. The copyright ID claim, which isn't a strike but demonetizes the video is based on this.

  • Copyrighted content: FSP Windale 6
  • Claimed by: Netd Influencer 1

Now I have no clue who Netd Influencer is, but FSP is the manufacturer of that cpu cooler, which is not mentioned, shown or or represented in any way in the video. I don't know how you would even copyright ID claim something like that in the first place, unless I was like presenting myself as selling and making that product.

Anyone else know of scummy types that do this to basically just take the monetized revenue?

I would rather agree on what we share, than fight on what we don't. - Myself

It may not be a big deal financially but if I were in your position I would appeal that simply for the reason that if assbags like that think they can get away with it they will continue to do so. Set a precedent that this isn't cool.

I've had tons of false claims on Unigine footage. Just appeal, tell them to slobber on a fat one and wait.

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.
