Help show friends 100% gpu usage is normal and safe in demanding games.

Can anyone help chime in on why 100% usage on a graphics card (1070 TI's) is expected and completely fine? In games like PUBG, Battlefield 5, and other demanding games. They had some people tell them that it was not a good thing so they capped their frames and turned down settings to all low. Please help me show them its fine

Well....100% isn't amazing i'd prefer high/low 90's but it's alright. Most it'll do is shorten the cards lifespan by a few days/weeks (maybe even just hours). RLY not that much as long as temperatures are fine.

My personal gpu is kept between 90-97% usage and it doesn't go above 67 degrees celcius.

Thank you for the input. I should have mentioned temps are fine.

Having the GPU at 100% usage is good nothing to worry about it means that u are getting the full potential out of the card. The more GPU usage the better.

The card running at 100% usage doesn't mean that it is degrading in any way it is just really using what it has in processing power. What gives the idea that it is Degrading faster because of the usage ?

It is not fine.

If you are running a 100% and the game needs more for an event like an explosion, frame rate will drop.

Whether the drop impacts you depends on the game and your system.

I like to run at 74% on games that I can limit like ACO. On games I don't limit, I like to run over 100fps so if there is a drop I don't feel it.

On my modded games I run at about 124% to 130% most of the time. It gets hot but as long as my GPU is not downclocking I don't care.
