Hello everyone!, I'm the techpowerup gpu database editor and I wanted to share with you graphics card enthusiasts all of the projects I have been working on to share information that is not so easy to find and also some that are all in one place.

Graphics IPs
AMD
Nvidia
Intel

Other Projects
GPU Database
Rare GPUs / Unreleased GPUs
Ever wondered whats inside your GPU?

Why just why?!

The people "In the know" know that its a piece of shit thing that can't be trusted further than you can throw it because of all the gameworks shit inside.

So its best to remove that and replace it with a more "neutral" benchmark...

"DVD Acceleration" should be mentioned as well.

Meaning IDCT (inverse Discrete Cosinus Transformation) and Motion Compensation.

Also the Integrated or usually used TV Out Chip (ImpacTV and Rage Theatre on ATi Side, Brooktree, Chronotel and Philips on nVidia side, also the need for the "TV Tool" for older nV Cards because nVidia didn't implement any useful TV Output Settings).

Also using the same way to sort things for all Chips, AMD/ATi and nVidia especially.

im focusing on finding what the equivalent is for decoder and encoder versions for nvidia that amd has.

i will focus more on the other stuff when i can include this info for nvidia in the gpu database and my graphics ip threads.

Those were the Decoders - back in the day, in the 90s.

But it would be bad for nVidia because they didn't implement it until much much later.

The Rage PRO IIRC has MC, Rage 128 and later have MC + IDCT, on nVidia Side I'm not sure about the RIVA Models.

Geforce got MC, IDCT was very late. Geforce 4MX (nV17) should have it as well as integrated TV Out - that works without external tools - but other than that, I'M not sure.

Maybe you should break it into two section:
Legacy, wich is everything up to/including DX10 and then after DX10 stuff.

You can argue that you switch at the DX10 Level, that's fine too...

But throwing everything into one table makes no sense because older GPUs are completely different, don't really have shader or rather rudimentary stuff.

DX10 is the point when both got unified shader, the move towards the "Modern age"...

But you should remove the FF XV Benchmark...

yeah ill figure out how to add those in time  I do research before I add things so I would have probably ran into that problem and figured it out.

ffxv benchmark is perfectly fine with comparing nvidia to nvidia and amd to amd, ive had a lot of experience with it, its not bad. I know its bad when comparing amd to nvidia but the scores are consistent between nv vs nv and amd vs amd just like 3dmark is.
