Games freezing after newest Nvidia driver

i haven't used DDU yet, but it just started working and i haven't done anything so if it happens again i'll try that

After installing the most recent Nvidia driver and GE, FH4 has started freezing...last night it happened while playing the game however now it freezes as soon as it loads after hitting continue. So far i tried disabling any OC i had, closing Precision X1, as well as doing a clean install of the previous driver to no avail.  It has also happened in modded skyrim however it's only happened while playing the game not while just loading it. I haven't tried any other games yet to see if it's a localized issue but the only changes before this started was the new GE and driver...
