Can I crossfire two different GPUs?

I heard that Crossfire allows you to mix up different AMD cards as long as they have the same Architecture. I have an R9 390 and I was wondering if I could throw in an R9 380 or R7 370 and have them work together. Also, long shot but would freesync still work?

If you have the card, why not try it? If you don't, its not worth buying into multi GPU.

Afaik that should work though I've never actually tried it.

 

From my understanding, Crossfire requires the same series so any 3000 will work with any other 3000 though all will only run at the speed of the slowest card while SLI needs identical models.

You know, Navi will be released this year. Probably worth getting the newer AMD cards when they hit the market instead of a four year old mid range card to add to your four year old high end card, ultimately slowing it down.

idk I live in Romania so I don't have a lot of cash to spare on something like that, so I'll take what I can, you know?

is it because of microstuttering? I'm very sensitive to frames so I'll defenetely feel it if there are any odd 0.1% lows

its cos the performance is crap in a lot of games.

Mid range Navi cards will be a decent step up from the 390, you won't have to shell out for the high end to replace it. What prices were the Vega 56 and 64 available to you for on launch?

well you take whatever price Americans have an dmultiply it by 4 and you get about the price we had it here. Our "Lion" is a pretty weak currency and we get payed arround the same 4 digit salary you guys do there.

Well if multi GPU is what you require I would find out if the games you play scale well. The 390 is still a capable 1080p card so I doubt a second, weaker GPU would actually help. A game would need pretty good scaling.
