Dude...it's a $500 build. Why would you get a large SSD? A 120GB/240GB is fine. OP can then put that extra money toward faster RAM. Ryzen really benefits from that.

Hi, excuse me for my poor English, it's not my mother language.
My current PC is very old and suck massively (gt430 and 3 cores Athlon II-something 2.7 Ghz), and i want to buy a new one. My budget is pretty low (about 500-550 US$), obviously i don't aim for any 4k60fps ultra settings, 30+fps 1080p low-normal settings would be more than enough for me. I never build a PC, but i surf Internet and found rx 560 and ryzen 3 1200 combo, which i can afford. Is it any good and can i run modern games on it? I already have 1Tb hard drive, monitor, fans and case, all i need is motherboard, GPU, CPU and RAM (i already have 8 Gigs but it is also pretty old, DDR2 1333 i believe).
Can you help me please?

For 500-550$, a r3 1200 + rx 560 is really bad

GPU is Vega 11, it comes with the CPU.

At this point you're just missing a case

What the hell? why spend so much on the SSD? :| and Vega 11 is weaker than RX 560

Why would you spend half his budget on an SSD? That's ridiculous. He doesn't need 2TB of SSD storage in a budget build. A 120GB SSD will suffice, especially since he already has a 1TB HDD.

I would spend that extra $150 on a case, cooler, and more RAM (or just faster RAM).

Since he already has a 1TB hard drive then just spend 30-50 dollars on a 240-250GB SSD and the rest on the GTX 1660

Yes, that's a much more balanced build.

OP, out of the builds in this thread, I'd recommend this one the most.

I recommend even just spending a tiinnyy bit more and going with a Ryzen 5 2600, it's a decent/big jump in performance.

Thank you all so much!
I am so glad that i asked here before buying.
I have another question. Do i really need SSD? They seems pretty expensive. I mean, what kind of stuff i need to store on it? Games nowadays use a lot of space, on 240Gb i can store like 6-8 games, but also i suppose i need to store OS, Windows 10 also use a lot of space, right now i have 100Gb allocated to it and half of it is just OS crap. As i said, i never built a PC neither never used a SSD. Maybe dumb question, sorry.

Don't be sorry, and the SSD is mainly for the OS, so it would boot alot faster and be more responsive in general, you would still need to store all your games on your 1TB hard drive.

Please get an SSD. Especially with an old PC like yours, an SSD will be the single greatest change you can make to your computer. Your computer booted in 2 minutes? Try about 5 seconds now. Your computer made a lot of noise (from the HDD)? It's completely gone. Your programs took 1-2 seconds to open? Now they're nearly instant. Your desktop takes 30 seconds or even up to 2 minutes with especially slow HDDs to be usable? Now it's usable, completely instantly.

Oh, thank you. I reinstall my OS yearly and it rarely take more than 10-15 seconds to be fully operable. To be fair, i don't mind about boot time, usually i don't even turn it off, just put it into sleep mode. Maybe i'll buy an SSD later.

It's up to you man if you wanna focus more on CPU and GPU, but it wouldn't feel like a new PC until you get an SSD, it's not only about boot time.
