5760x1080 or 4k ?

I am wondering whether you guys would rather have 3 1080p monitors in eyefinity/surround or a single 4k monitor (at my budget it would have to bee only 28") ?

A single 4k monitor seems better for me, but wouldn't it be cheaper than 3 1080p monitors anyway?

A 27" 1440p monitor would be a good.  4k is too many pixels to push without top end gear.

 

I never enjoyed a triple monitor setup.

Yes but who says he wants to game at 4k.  I use 4k on desktop and 2k 1440p for gaming.  Just because a native resolution is ,, blah blah,, doesn't mean you must game with that.

tripleheader here for longest time since soft th days with crts

 

bezels can be a problem for many but they dont bother me usually they get tuned out like looking out a bay window but  side monitors are usually for peripheral vision they help with immersion and checking corners so I dont have to completely turn to look, I dont use bezel correction either dont want a blind spot

i just overlapped my monitors also

 

game support is hit and miss, I usually use wsgf.org to check for fixes, tools, and google 

but I also do that for sli fixes too

 

I prolly will stay with multimonitors for long while considering makes work, shopping, system monitoring, chats, research, etc way easier

right now I use 5 monitors (been like 6yrs using %) 2 over 3

2 accessory over surround, 5760x1080p@144hz

Very good point. He could do productivity at 4k then scale down to game.  Viable option, definitely.

You can also wait until May 2nd when the Samsung CRG9 comes out.  49" super ultra wide 5120x1440 QLED HDR Freesync and 120hz and 1000nits
