I am having serious problems with deciding which one is the best, but i am leaning a little bit towards portrait mode i think. I do not know if this has been done before, or if this is the right subforum.

which one do you prefer? and do you think viewing angles + color(ips) or response time + frequency(tn) is more important in an eyefinity/ surround setup? : )

I think that triple screen 1920*1080 landscape is pretty bad. I think its better portrait rather than landscape when it comes to monitor setups with 3+ displays.

I've had both landscape and portrait in the past, and I found that.landscape really slowed me down as I had to move my head alot more to see maps etc. Portrait gives a more natural form factor for gaming, but can be strange for applications. I'd say get rotating mounts/ stands so you can try both and decide yourself. And yes get IPS panels, with a slim bezel. There are good Acer ones that fit those specs

just try both and see what you prefer. I personally can't stand the longer vertical bezels just from pictures, so I'm a landscape surround user

but don't get TN - any and all TN surround users will tell you that TN is TERRIBLE for portrait surround apparently

I use a single very good TN display, (i say very good as it does not totally suck), as i dont have enough deskspace for a triple monitor setup; and im not going with two monitors.. id die out of OCD
