I Currently Have A System With a

A10 7860k Or 7850k

GTX 1050ti

8gb of ddr3

750W Gold Plus PSU

 

However I Have A School/Laptop with a:

I7-7850hq

16gb ddr4

GTX 1060 6gb

 

Im Considering Either Upgrading My PC or Using this laptop to keep gaming on.

What Would You Guys Recommend?

Your laptop seems fine enough to game on. Why spend more money?

The other system is really weird because you have an APU and a gpu.

I'm not necessarily allowed to game on the laptop as it is for rendering and things at school and I would prefer two PC's

Consider upgrading to Ryzen, or some new-ish Intel chip.

It's hard to say. You're GPU performs well on many 1080p games. Some Turing and RTX have some strange pricing to value ex: 1660ti.

AMD rx cards have lower performance for similar prices than Nvidia.

I think gtx 1660, non ti.

You can always overclock it too.

Ok, would it be worth waiting for next generation rtx cards so they hype calms down and it sort of becomes the norm?

Those cards won't be coming for a while and they won't be cheap either.

Ok. I Just don't want to make the same mistake as i made with the A10 and it instantly got 1 upped about a month after i bought it and it became irrelevant
