What would the PS4 Pro be equal to if it were a Desktop PC?

VincentVolaju

If I wanted to build a desktop PC that had similar performance and quality as a PS4 Pro does, which parts would be closest to that? (CPU, GPU, Ram etc.)

Thank you!

i understand the question, but to be honest the hard ware in ps4 wont run 4k 60 fps on a pc, its just not programmed as efficiently on pc as on a console

PC: Alienware 15 R3  Cpu: 7700hq  GPu : 1070 OC   Display: 1080p IPS Gsync panel 60hz  Storage: 970 evo 250 gb / 970 evo plus 500gb

Audio: Sennheiser HD 6xx  DAC: Schiit Modi 3E Amp: Schiit Magni Heresy

but a good 4k 60 fps card would be a 1080-1080 ti , depending on the titles you want to play,

cpu i would say any decent clocked, maybe  i5 7th generation minimum may work , just once its not its not bottle necked

GPU is easy:
8GiB RX470/570

The Rest depends on the Game, how its optimized for Multi Core. Probably somewhere around a 2400G or so.

On consoles the hardware needed to run 4K/60fps is significantly weaker than the hardware needed on PC, as console games are heavily optimised for said console. The PS4 Pro probably has something like a ryzen 5 2400g/i3-8100 and a rx570. On pc to run the same level of graphics you'd probably need a i5-9600k or something and a gtx 1080-1080ti

Im not sure you can directly compare as pc games are usually way more sloppy when it comes to optimisation, thats why console games run as well as they do on what seems like pretty basic hardware

Its pretty much the same game nowadays as consoles are x86. Thats why the ports usually run 60fps even with bad old parts like fx8000-series. FX8350 is about twice as fast as the console jaguar. Pretty much same ipc but double clock speed.
