It's a minor one that I've picked up when doing my research on the card I want. I heard that RX cards that are powered by the PCI-E slot glitch out and don't function correctly in OEM machines. I have an OEM 990 by Dell and I plan to put a gigabyte RX 570 into it. It it just the RX 560/480 that isn't compatible? Am I in the clear?

Are there any RX cards that dont use a PCIe 6 pin? If there are then they wouldnt work in 25W PCIe slot boards which some OEM machines have. A normal cards with an external power connector should be fine though

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

So are those issues caused by motherboard BIOS or is it the lack of power?

Its a hardware limitation in how much power they can deliver
