780ti. then sli it in future. its what i plan to do.

In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only a GTX 1080, just a single 1080, where my glorious PC once stood....

For that is all I need, For the Emperor of Man, Jen-Hsun Huang, protects. We march for Nvidia, and we shall know no fear!

780 SLI will be alot faster, but for 1080p it's so unnecessary.

780 ti really isn't worth it unless you are doing 3x or 4x sli, it is way better to get dual 780s. The 780 ti is only around 20% faster I think, so ski 780 demolishes it.

Funny because I know from experience the benefits of having 2 GPUs on a single 1080p display, so don't tell me to the think before I speak.

Uhm? you are telling that he has probably never played above 60fps. And to back up your statement you are criticising his notebook GPU.

Did

Did you even bother to read what I was quoting? He said there was no point to Multiple GPUs on a single 1080p display yet he clearly doesn't know what he is talking about, which is evident in his spec list.

Dude, you started by mockingly criticizing the guy for now reason. You said he has never played above 60fps. When clearly he has. It was an ignorant thing to say.

I still don't get what your problem is, I was clearly stating he was wrong about something, now you're butt hurt.....

And your more recent posts appear to be dissolving into meaningless insults. Firstly, you criticized him for not having experience with NVIDIA SLI or with getting a high frame-rate, when he apparently has, according to the OP. Secondly, you claim to know more than him about the benefits of SLI on a 1080p display without first considering the specs of his own main rig, which may or may not include multiple NVIDIA graphics cards. Thirdly, although I have no experience with SLI or Crossfire myself, I have come to the conclusion that there is barely any benefit of having multiple so-called "high end" GPUs powering a single 1080p display through extensive reading of reviews of these cards and the experiences of those who use said cards.

Now, I don't want to entirely disregard your statements, because you may possess some knowledge in the subject that I am ignorant of, but I despise it when people just let their brains fly out the window and spew out meaningless garbage and derogatory comments about others, so please try to keep your statements civil.

Why is the God of Hyperdeath SO...DARN...CUTE!?

Also, if anyone has their mind corrupted by an anthropomorphic black latex bat, please let me know. I would like to join you.

Hey man, I don't have a problem with anything. Look at it the way I saw it. You are saying the guy is wrong because you "assume" he hasn't played on an FPS above 60fps.. The reason this bugs me is because you have no knowledge of whether he has or hasn't. So why make a statement like that? Clearly in his signature it states he is running 780's in SLI which is more than capable of running games at an FPS above 60. You basically called him out on something that he proved wrong before you even called it out. I aint saying your not knowledgeable on the subject. But I am saying that you called out something you nor I know is true or not. Ya feel?

  • 3 weeks later...

Says the guy on laptop with a GT555m GPU, you probably have never played above 60FPS.

I wish I caught this earlier, but, you should go over my signature a little more thorough next time. Funny how you completely missed (or chose not to read) the first line.
