Hello folks.
I have recently added a GTX 1060 to my current setup and started having some real issues with system DRAMATICLY dropping FPS.... a friend then told me that it was probably happening because I put a good videocard in an old system. So then I realized I was gonna have to get *pretty much* a whole new computer. So I decided to go for a Ryzen 7 2700X. Here is some info

Current SETUP

Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 (AM3)

CPU: AMD FX8320

RAM: 20GB (2x8GB) + (1x4GB) DDR3

Cooler: CORSAIR H60 Water Cooler

New SETUP

Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X470-F Gaming (AM4)
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4

Cooler: SO here is my doubt - Should I use the PRISM that comes with the CPU? Can I use the Corsair H60 Water Cooler or would it be too weak to hold THIS processor which is WAY stronger than the FX8320?

I would like something QUIET and Remember that using air cooling was way noisy for me with the cooler that came with the FX8320

Any opinions?

Thank you,

Will.

The Wraith Prism is fine for the 2700x and easily better than the original FX-8320 stock cooler. It wouldn't come included if it wasn't.

The H60 is still better though and it can be quieter with a new fan.

A more powerful processor isn't necessarily harder to cool. It's about die size, how well it connects to the IHS, and power draw.
