I still have a i5 2500k in my guest room. I has 16gbs ram and a GTX 980.  It is used for email and Netflix.

The last time it was used for games was for Fallout 4 and it maintained 60fps at 1080p everywhere.

 

Try talking them down or adding a GPU. Without a GPU it is only worth about $60 US.
