Hello everyone, I know that the LTT forums are mainly for PC components but hopefully there is someone out there who can give me some advice. My iPhone SE needed a screen replacement so I bought an original apple screen from Ebay. I have done many replacements before on iPhones so I thought the whole replacement process would be a cakewalk (Which It was). I replaced the old screen with the new one and booted it up. It worked! Now that I knew that the screen was working, I could then do the whole home button process and add it to the LCD, which I did. But the second time I tried booting up just when I was ready to put all the screws back on, I got greeted with an infinite boot loop. The apple logo would come on for 10 seconds, and then restart and do the same thing. My first thought was that the issue could be the logic board, but I did not screw any screws back in the logic board or even do anything that could even come close to damaging it. My second attempt in fixing it, was to get a new battery because sometimes the battery connector can get damaged, but a new battery did not bring me any different results. My third attempt in fixing it was to go into DFU mode and connect the phone to iTunes and restore it. I tried doing this, but every time I try to restore the phone, it stops the restore process and gives me error code 9 on iTunes. Basically the phone keeps disconnecting before from my PC before It can even start restoring which is what creates error code 9. I have tried to get itunes to work with multiple computers, multiple chords including the original apple ones etc, and nothing. I am completely stumped now but still don't want to completely give up yet because it might be possible to fix this thing if the logic board is still in good condition. Any suggestions would be awesome, thanks!

The very first thing to do is go back to a place where it worked.

Remove the button and just clip the screen back in, if that doesnt work try another screen to rule out the new one you have isnt faulty.

If not then put the old screen back on and go through dfu reset again.

The other issue you have is if you didnt use any antistatic pads, straps etc then there is a good chance youve fried a chip on the board.

^^^ IIRC Error Code 9 is a hardware error, you borked something on your install or the screen is faulty. I usually get the screens from iFixit and I've had 0 issues unless I messed up on the install, never the fault of the display.
