Snapchat notification numbers

Hi guys. As u may know, iphone users will have a number in the top right corner of thei snapchat icon, so show how many unopened/unread snaps they have (as seen on the picture under). I was wondering if there is any way to do this on a samsung phone? I've tried to turn on the number on icon setting on my phone, and it's working on my messages and missed calls, but it does not work on for example twitter and snapchat
