Cpu temp while gaming

Hey, i have a i9 9900k and a 4 year old watercooler from coolermaster with single fan radiator. When i play games the cpu temp are between 50-84 °C in minumum and max so far. It has a idle temp on 32°C ish. Should i concider a new cooler or am i fine with this?

of course consider a new cooler, if you can afford a 9900k I see no reason why an extra $80 to $100 is any difficult to spend. It's not just performance either, but how rubber tubes are more prone to leaks when aged.

as long as you aren't thermal throttling you are fine, most people get scared when temps get higher than 60. If you can afford a 9900k however, treat it nice and get a better cooler.

The 9900K is definitely a hot chip. I wouldn't use anything less than a 240mm if I had to use an AIO.

A single fan AIO is going to have issues handling a 9900K especially if you game for long periods of time on cpu intensive titles. I would definitely look in to a newer and bigger cpu cooling solution. 84C stock load is pretty high, but not in dangerous territory, the chip can handle upwards of 100C before thermal throttling occurs then shutdown if Temps continue to rise.

I'd highly suggest grabbing a high end air cooler or a 280mm aio for the 9900k. Personal favorite of mine is the Dark Rock Pro 4

if you are not overclocking i'd consider checking voltages and see if it's using too much first, otherwise i suggest a d15 or drp4 to lower temps, not that 85C would kill the chip, but it shouldnt hit 85C while just gaming.

Also a great point I didn't think of before, if he has his voltage on auto, it could be giving it significantly more voltage than it actually needs. I've seen people on auto that are showing 1.28V under load at stock. Mine was 1.26V at stock on auto.
