Windows doesn`t use all the RAM

So i built a new PC and i have 4*4GB RAM. Windows can see it, but says that only 8GB are usable.

What motherboard do you have? I would say either the ram is not in properly( you can give them some force) or the MOBO firmware/Bios needs to be updated.

If you look at the photo you can see that it detects all of it.

Yep! My bad I did a glance, however, I would verify your Motherboard Firmware and bios are up to date!

1) Open RUN (Win+R)

2) type msconfig

3) select the boot settings tab

4) select advanced options

5) uncheck max memory

6) restart.

More likely that your motherboard is in dual channel mode than something with firmware, go into your bios and see if it detects all 4 sticks of RAM, if so you may need to simply enable quad channel mode.

I would not recommend doing this, that setting is related to virtual memory. Checking Bios for dual channel or quad channel mode being enabled is the first step.
