The 92+ does not exist on the list,

Yes, because its considered not worth mentioning for that reason.

As are the other Aurum versions that once existed (Aurum CM, normal Aurum).

And the rest is not nice to say on a Forum. We ain't on Twitter...

It's not nice to do bad PSU tier lists either, but still we have them.

LoL! Find one that isn't bad.

Just read a review.

What if i purchased that 92+ assuming it is the PT unit of which it is visually identical to it?

It's not their fault you can't read properly. Besides, if you wanted a good PSU that's suited to your needs you shouldnt be using the tier list.

People need to stop pointing people to that list,

I agree. People shouldn't be using the list if they really cared.

And OP made a whole thread for recommendations, so he atleast care.

It's a bit hypocritical of you suggesting a psu purely off the tier list.

No one else in this thread pointed to the tier list besides you.

No.  It's a "PT" unit.  Look at the part number (PT-650M) It has DC to DC.

The Amazon page refers to it as the Aurum 92+, as does this review, and FSP's website.

The Aurum PT seems to have model numbers PT-xxxFM.

Slow down there.

The PSU Tier list has a lot of work gone into it.  Sure it's not flawless and there may be some qualifiers that you don't agree with.

But someone who wants a PSU can be reasonably assured that someone took the time to review and look into them, so they don't have to become an expert about them just to get a nice unit.  Similar to Consumer Reports, Edmunds, Kelly Blue Book, Car & Driver, Road & Track, etc. for cars.

It's a great resource.   I'll recommend it as a fantastic start for anyone looking to get a PSU.

Still doesn't mean it doesn't have DC to DC.

The MOSFETs are sinked to the housing underneath the PCB:

Technically it has, but only for 3,3V wich nobody really cares about.

And people understand DC-DC as 5V is independantly regulated, wich this is not.

The "real" "DC-DC" Version you can see here:

DSC_4392Andere.md.jpg

It has 2 Coils right next to each other, one for 3,3V, one for 5V.

You can also see two windings ont he main Output coil (the red wire for example).
