h80i with fx6300 in a core1000?

im looking to upgrade the h80i in my main rig and put it in my spare rig wich is a core 1000 with a fx 6300. ( it has a 120 mount in the front and i dont use the side mount for hdd's im using dvd bays with 3.5inch converters for my hdd so that wont be in the way. just wondering if its worth it over a stock sink and if it will fit fine their?

I'd say go for a Hyper 212 EVO instead. It will fit and won't have many problems.

 

It will work, but mount it in the back. It may not reach the front.

There isn't a 120mm fan mount at the back it is only a 82/90mm fan mount.

cant mount to the back 80/92mm back ive seen it done mounted to the front just dono if they had to mod

The 212 will not fit. I forgot that about the Core 1000. As for the front, it may be able to be done.

No, it won't. The Core 1000 is too small for it, as the Hyper 212 EVO is tall enough to press on the inside of the side panel.

they put a h80i in a core 1000 cant tell if it was moded but from what i can tell will fit. reason i want to use it is because i want to upgrade my cooler to somthing newer and bigger so i would have a h80i sitting around
