xeon cpu suitable for java learning?

Depends on which xeon whether it's a good one or not, there are a lot of them. But there is not good or bad processor to learn Java.

I'll sound like a broken record here: it depends on which Xeon it is.

 

If it's anything of the X5600 series or newer, it's good enough. If it's 5400 series or older, then no. Those chips are basically worthless due to excessive power consumption and low general performance.
