Hello, I am running two 980 TIs in SLI and I am having an issue upping the usage of the cards on lower settings. I am running R6S on low settings to boost the frames but I am getting only 45% usage out of each at an average of 120 frames. When I increase the graphics settings, I get a higher GPU usage (up to 95% each card), but the average FPS stays around 120. Is it possible to up the frames that I am getting? My goal is to get around 200 frames at 1080p.

You are CPU bottlenecked. You can't get more frames without increasing the frequency/power of your cpu. I'm not even sure if R6S is capable of running at that fps on any cpu.

 

EDIT: Apparently R6S can run higher, but lots of bug issues with random solutions. I posted a few examples below.

Seems to be a frame rate limiter at work. Have you disabled those and Vsync?

Yes, v-sync is turned off. Which other limiter are you referring too?

Might be, but the issue is I get consistent frames no matter what resolution I run. Wouldnt higher resolution also up the CPU usage?

No higher resolution does not up the cpu usage. More items on screen does, but that doesn't directly follow from higher resolution.

Riva Tuner Statistics Server (RTSS) can do it, maybe other apps as well.

 

Also check the Nvidia control panel, make sure you didnt force enable vsync there.

Most of the v-sync standards are not 120fps. 

 

But @OP, it looks like r6s is just buggy. A few different solutions for the OP to try:

 

1.Activating windows (lololol)

2.Reinstalling the game

If monitor's refresh rate is 120Hz, Vsync will activate at 120fps. Kinda rare unless it's 21:9 ultrawide, but they exist.

Had a similar issue. Couldn’t really do much about it. Idk if they have an ini you can mod or not.
