so i was using nvidia dsr to run battlefield 1 at 4k ultra because i was thinking of buying a 4k monitor

i dunno about you guys but i think theres something wrong with dsr because:

let me remind you that this is battlefield 1 at 4k ultra settings

specs:

i5 6600k @ 4.4ghz

gtx 1070 founders edition

16gb of ram 3100mhz

gaming system: Intel core I9 12900ks / biostar Z690A valkyrie / 4x8gb corsair Vengeance @3333Mhz ram / RX 7900XTX pulse gpu / Thermalright peerless assassin 140 /Coolermaster Qube 500 case / Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 12 1500w power supply

 

laptop: Dell xps 9510, 3.5k OLED, i7 11800h, rtx 3050 ti, 2x16gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz, 1TB main drive, 2TB add in ssd

4k DXR is `~40 FPS on an i9 9900 so your doing great.

is dxr performance indicative of real 4k?

Yeah you are rendering it at 4K and downsampling it to whatever res your monitor is. What's your question?

4K resolution is no joke, it takes a beastly video card to run it properly. That’s the reason I stayed at 1080p, I can’t justify spending $800 on a video card
