Other uses for Fingerprint Sensors?

So Ya boi just got a new laptop and I noticed that it has a finger print sensor. The laptop is the MSI PS42 and the sensor is the Synaptics WBDI reader USB 086. I wanted to see if I could use it for anything else. I have always been one for high security. I was thinking extra security on certain files and apps. IDK I just want to use it for other stuff bc its cool. No judgeeees plz thnx.

Pretty sure you can 2FA lastpass with it for example.

I will take a look into that. I dont really use last pass but I will see if it is worth it

You can bind each fingerprint to an action, like launching an app. I used Lenovo fingerperint utility but I think it works for every brand

Does anyone know a good USB Fingerprint reader that I can use separately on a PC?
