One of my homelab servers, a HP DL380 G5, does not seem to like any new PCIE cards that I have tried installing. I have been trying to get a 10gb Mellanox card to be recognized to no avail. I was using this in a Dell Poweredge-1950 and 2950 before and it ran flawlessly but I can't even get the card to show up in BIOS under IRQ assignments. The only card that has worked in the PCIE riser is the 4 port 1Gb card that came with the server. I updated the bios to one from 2018 but nothing has changed.

Is there a dip/jumper or setting of any kind that I am missing?

Any help is appreciated

Boot through to an OS and see if it shows up there, could be a BIOS compatibility thing but will actually work after booting. That would only effect ability to PXE boot if this is the case. Sounds like you have already tried that but thought I'd mention it anyway.
