Bottle neck

I have an amd phenom ii x6 1035t six core at 2.8ghz and I am looking at buying a GTX 970 will their be a bottle neck and if so how big?

depends on what games you're playing, resolution, and settings.

 

In most cases that CPU is too weak for the GPU. Get a better CPU and motherboard first.

I wouldn't expect that processor to handle gaming well at all.
