How can one purchase the rights to use a song in a video?

Tcrumpen

A little bit of background in this

A few years ago my brother passed away and i'm wanting to honour his memory by making a video combining me improvising a solo (im a guitar player) and then fading into what his favourite track was. Now the track i know is owned by Sony music and to make sure that this video wouldn't get copyright claimed or a content ID strike i am willing to pay to be able to use the song in a video. Is there a way this can be done? (like how you can purchase a PRS license to play music at venues for events)

you should be able to use a song in a video as long as you dont monetize it, and if you do its most likely theyll claim the monetization, not a copyright strike, this is from my own experience using music in videos

however you can always try to contact sony music, through phone or email would work best
