Does this monitor support Nvidias new g-sync to freesync thing?

All FreeSync monitors do - the problem is that it might not always work as intended, what's another thing is that it might work as intended but for instance you may be forced to disable some features such as HDR or high refresh rate.

Another problem is here - it is only supported on Nvidia cards when you're using DisplayPort to connect the GPU to the monitor, while FreeSync works over HDMI as well on AMD cards (on most modern FreeSync monitors at least).

Yes, all DisplayPort FreeSync monitors do, although not all FreeSync monitors will work right when using G-Sync on them.

Yeah I think I should clarify it a bit better:

Currently, all FreeSync monitors that have a DisplayPort output support Nvidia's Adaptive Sync implementation (regardless of if it's working properly or not).
There are some that only have HDMI connectors as FreeSync works over HDMI as well, as opposed to G-Sync, and those monitors will not allow you to enable FreeSync because you're forced to used HDMI.
