New build plan among the thousands of others

Hi,

Bear with me, english isn't my mother language. So to keep it simple and as short as possible, I'm going to move in a few months and have the ability to save some money and i too am trying to build a pc. My first decent one atleast. My budget is fairly limited but stretchable so looking for most bang of my buck and future upgradability. Stretchable budget means i don't have to buy all the parts at once and also +- 150-200 euros.

1. Budget & Location
Budget is 500 euros +- 150-200 euros. 

Location : Europe. 

2. Aim

Gaming. AAA, maybe some recording videos and more than 30 fps (coming from console).

3. Monitors

Firstly planning to run 1 monitor, definetly adding more in the future.
Resolution wise i am stuck. Don't really know what to look for optimal results. Sort of a paralysis by analysis here.

4. Peripherals

I do need to purchase all the needed peripherals. Including OS Windows.

5. Why are you upgrading?

Coming from xbox one gaming i realised that buying new expensive games and having to throw monthly xbox live gold money isn't going to do for me in the long run. Been an xbox one owner from whenever it came out and 10 euros a month + some games is not good espescially when newer games start to perform sluggishly. Even bought a 50 euro mypassport external ssd because my low gig xbox was full.

I do not have any case preferences, i don't care about RGB, twinkling lights or other bling.

Is just a tiny bit overbudget (subject to change with sales and availability as well), but should be fairly decent and will provide a pretty good upgrade path. 

You don't need fancy keyboards or mice, you could just get the cheapest you can find. You don't need to buy a Windows key, it will function quite well without being activated. If you don't activate Windows, then you just have a watermark in the bottom right and can't use customization options (good trade-off if you ask me); and you can always purchase a key later (or find one cheap somewhere).

Edit: I also highly recommend getting an SSD, if only for your boot drive. The speed increase is definitely worth it.

Edit 2: Get a 1080p monitor, they are fairly cheap and are good for budget/low end gaming.

It does look like the SSD I picked isn't available, but that could change based on which European country you're in as well. There are also cheaper SSDs, Kingston, and Sandisk have some cheap 250GB offerings if you wanted to look at those instead.

I was referencing UI color changing options and taskbar settings; did not know you could do that though, I'll keep that in mind.

I had a friend who used the i think it was razor mouse, tried to use it, too much damn buttons and this weird multi color flashing was disorienting

The color flashing could be changed, but Razer products aren't that great overall.

If you did want a "gaming" mouse, I'd recommend the Steel Series Rival lineup; they are great mice with minimal RGB (and RGB can be turned off) and they have some cheaper offerings.

Probably gonna stick with regular mouse at first. Another question though, team vulcan memory does not show price and is 2 x 4gb ddr4 better than 1x 8gb ddr4?

You can get any 2x4 RAM kit that is 3000MHz. The Team Vulcan one was the cheapest 2x4 3000MHz kit I saw listed in the US, pricing can change from country to country

 

And yes, there is a difference. 2x4 RAM is typically installed in dual channel configuration (alternating slots, you can check the motherboard manual to see specific slot configurations). Dual channel RAM yields a performance increase (especially on AMD Ryzen), and if you get a 3000MHz kit (which is supposed to stable when OC'ed to 3000MHz) then you should notice a good performance increase as well.

not as far as I know, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is, I just haven't searched for that

ryzen really likes fast ram, certain cpu operations directly tied to ram speed.
