Surface laptop 2 owners: does the alacantra wear?

Hello,

I want to buy the surface laptop 2, but apparently the fabric wears easily. When I Google surface laptop wear, no one seems to complain about the 2nd gen wearing. Is it still a concern?

I want to use my laptop for at least 2 years.

I've never heard of the alacantra wearing, it's the same material used on the surface pro line.

It probably depends on your hygiene and how well you look after your laptop, as an example this guy used his for a year and it looks good as new

I have high demands.

I am a student.

But I guess, in the end it depends on how well I care for it.
