Ok In a few minutes I will buy some DDR2 800MHz RAM for my PC (8GB in total). But will my motherboard support and my CPU?

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66GHz

Motherboard: MS - 7358

Current RAM: 4GB OF DDR2 667MHz RAM (2.75 GB usable)

and also on the info, the RAM is PC6400? What is PC6400 will my mobo and CPU support it?

Please any quick answers will be very much appreciated it. Many Thanks ❤️

Well you currently have DDR2 ram, so other DDR2 ram should work too

PC6400 = DDR2 800Mhz.

Your motherboard supports:

Quote

- DDR2 800/667 SDRAM (8GB Max)
- 4 DDR2 DIMMs (240pin / 1.8V)

Looks like it will support 2GB sticks in each of its 4 slots.

Your Motherboard manual says it only supports 8gb in total at those speeds below, so it should work as long as its 4x2gb sticks

I know but what is PC6400?

Is this a factor too?

It's just another name for the DDR2 800MHz standard. Also, people won't see your reply if you don't quote or mention them.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Hi Dijon,

as far as i can find (and so could you by downloading the MB manual)

is that your Mainboard supports DDR2 800/667Mhz with a maximum of 8GB

with four dimms of 2GB each. (if it also supports two of 4GB each I can`t find that in a hurry)

the E6750 does supports it for sure. as I had this in my old setup

with the intel DG33TL MB and the E6750 ?
