Which memory to buy?

Hi everybody.

 

I'm building my first desktop pc, primarily to be used for gaming. Im getting an Asus ROG Strix X470-F motherboard and a AMD Ryzen 7 2700x CPU.

I wonder if the G.Skill Triden Z DDR4 3200MHz (F4-3200C16D-16GTZB) is a good choise or should i consider buying faster ram?

3200 is perfectly fine. Buy it.

3000 to 3200 won't be much of a difference, and unless you buy incredibly fast RAM (4000mhz+).

3200 is a good sweet spot, and you really start getting into diminishing returns going any higher than that.  Though you could try to find something with CL14 over that CL16 for a bit extra performance.
