LinusTechTips did a video comparing the cards. I'd take a look at it - it probably answers your questions (however, I can't watch the video right now to double check).

If we're going by performance, then anything with more raw power than the GTX 1080 itself, assuming it also has the same feature set. So you're probably looking at a Quadro P5000/P6000/GP100 or a Quardo RTX 5000/6000/8000.

Although Autodesk doesn't tell you which one works better, they do list what they've tested:

They're also pretty clear that consumer cards have been tested to work, but only pro cards are officially supported (which is relevant if you plan to use Autodesk's support for issues).
