Help no directional sterio audio from headphone

For the lest couple of day now I have noticed I don't get any directional audio when playing games in my pc through my headphones just wondering do I need to purchase a sound card at all to fix this or is there something wrong with my settings. I have tried a few things but nothing seems to work. I have tried changing to Windows sonic for headphone and dolby atmmos but when I select these options my pc saying that the option is unavailable.

PC specs Ryzen 3 2200g MSI b350m gaming Pro mobo GTX 1060 12gb ddr4

Headones are Sony WH-H900N

What exactly do you mean by this? Does the sound direction not change when you turn ingame?

no the sound does not change when in game. i have game audio just fine but i have no directional audio sounds like the headphones are only using one channel but in the settings are clearly says its has 2 channels
