Help me with the cables!

So i wanna connect my rtx 2080 ti nvidia founders edition. And it has 8 by 8 connector pins. This is my gpu cable. As u can see in the picture one has a missing metal pin inside? Which one goes to the gpu and which ones to goes to the psu?

it its the same on both sides(the connector not the contacts)then it doesnt matter

What do you mean? Its just empty. No pins inside. Is this bad?

like does any of the other pins on that header have 2 wires in it instead of 1?

so looking closer at the pin outs, they are different witht he design of the socket portion of it. Should only be able to fit it in one way.. and not the other.
