RYZEN or Coffee Lake, for this -

First and foremost, hi hi, thank you for have opened this topic and to be willing to help me with my utterly cliche doubt.

Very well, a few weeks ago I came to this forum to seek for help in order to build a PC for: 1080p Streaming, and, 4K Gaming - simultaneously. Plus, 1080p video editing with Adobe Premiere.
Now... I am between two hard decisions... Ryzen 2700X or the I9 9900K ? Ryzen is so much more cheaper, but... I don't know, I am not sure if I should, I would very much appreciate those of you that have experience with both or one of the products to help me to decide.

9900k if you have the budget for a good board for it. Otherwise the 2700x with a x470 Taichi is a good buy for the price.

That is the shittiest fucking font color you could have picked. What the fuck did you do that for.

AHEM! Now with that out of the way. For most of what you listed the Ryzen will be on par (and even better in some instances) than the Intel. However, the Intel will perform better on Adobe Premier specifically, that's just how its always been. Take a step back and look at your budget. If cost is a concern, get the Ryzen. It will suit your needs just fine.

If you can afford it, definitely the 9900K. The 2700X is a good buy but the 9900K does better for gaming and Adobe apps.

It's at the very bottom of the page. There should be a "THEME" button.

Okay, so it seems like the Ryzen 2700X CAN provide what I want without a very significant performance loss. And yes, cost is a problem... I will probably end up with the red team then, oh well.

Now, before you guys disappear and I have to make another topic... How should I choose a RAM Module for a Ryzen processor - Is it better dual or quad channel? What is the Frequency I should look for when it comes to Ryzen, as I am not sure if there is XMP?

Ryzen benefits from higher clockspeed and quad channel memory. For starters you should find the motherboard you want and check out its RAM compatibility and pick from that list. If you can find a 3000mhz+ set you should be golden.

I see, yes, as it is a very hot chip a cheap motherboard would compromise the performance terribly. Thank you.
Now... can you help with what I asked above, about the RAM for a Ryzen processor?

Oh, I see. Okay, so between 3000 - 3200 - 3600MHz is what I should look for to pair with the Ryzen, thank you.

3000Mhz is the sweet spot for memory speed for Ryzen if you want 32GB go with a 2x16GB kit vs a 4x8GB kit as running all dimms populated will put to much stress on the imc for that speed.

in the future, please do not reformat text as it makes others not able to participate in the discussion as they cannot see the subject/contents.

it is unnecessary and quite off-putting to the community.

My sincere apologies, I was personalizing my text based upon the visuals of the Dark theme mode, I didn't meant to ignore those who could be using the light theme, but I didn't remembered about this and I just made it that way, I'm sorry.
