WHy do i get only 50mb/s instead of the full 400mb/s?

Hello evryone,

 

so today i got my new "fritzbox" and that i installd evrything I somehow ended up with a 50mb/s download instead of the full 400mb/s.

What can I do to speed it up?

 

I allready have those CAT7 Cables connected to my Home PC.

 

BTW living in Germany and the next Big Server would be Frankfurt.

Is this Proof enough or do I really read it wrong ?

Your connection speed is ~400 megabits per second. That is equivalent to 50 megabytes per second (8 bits per byte). So if you're getting that download speed of 50 in eg. Steam, which uses megabytes, that's why you see that difference.

You're confusing yourself. There is MBit and MB/s. MegaBits and MegaByte. There are 8 bits in a byte.

 

So 400MBit/s is equal to 50MB/s
