GPU Pass through to VM in FreeNAS

ya tried it that way and still failed. I might backup the zfs file for FreeNAS and load up Ubuntu as the baremetal os and run vmware and pass 2 cores and 10gb ram to freenas and keep the other 2 cores for Ubuntu.

If you're going to run FreeNAS as a VM, I would not use Ubuntu as the bare metal OS. Definitely not if you're going to use VMWare Player (is that even compatible with Linux? Not sure).

I would either go full out and run ESXi or Proxmox as your bare metal OS, and run both Ubuntu and FreeNAS as VM's, or use Linux's native KVM Hypervisor.
